Course Description:
This year-long course aims to enhance students’ speaking and writing abilities through major biblical stories and events from the Old and New Testaments. The first semester will focus on the Old Testament, and the second, the New Testament. Using Bible as the content source, students will practice speaking and writing skills necessary in an academic setting. These skills will be developed from fundamental to advanced ones, including being able to define, describe, and discuss; paraphrasing, summarizing, synthesizing, and evaluating. In addition, through reading, watching, and listening to major events and stories of Bible, students will cultivate basic understandings of Bible, not only as literature or culture, but more practically, as a way of life .
